Q: Where do you go to school?
Please tell us about your current plans after high school and what inspired you to choose this path? I plan on studying Public Relations at Seton Hall University. Originally I was going to go into marketing but then as I did more research, I realized I want to go into event planning, so that’s why I decided to focus on Public Relations instead.
Please tell us a little bit about your family. I am the oldest of 6. I have 4 brothers, including one step brother, and a step sister. My dad is a professor at NYU and my mom has a baking business – it’s called Patton’s Parties!
Q: What are couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A: Some of my favorite restaurants in the community are Mahwah Bar and Grill, State Line Diner, and Blue Moon Mexican Cafe.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
A: I would travel to Italy. I’ve always wanted to go to Italy and want to experience the culture there.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
A: One of my favorite TV shows it Manifest.
Q: What’s the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?
A: I don’t have any teacher that I can remember that has given me advice that has stuck with me .
Q: What is your go to band / singer when you cant decide what to listen to?
A: I like all music but, pop is my go to music.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
A: My friend Emily who I recently met but I haven’t seen in a very long time. I met her online through some online group chat, a few months ago. We met in person for a very short time but we seem to be very similar and so we decided to be roommates next year at Seton Hall. I can’t wait to get to know her more. I would take her to the State Line Diner!
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
A: My favorite thing about my community is our town day (Mahwah Day) it is a day where everyone in the community comes together and just overall has a great time all together.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
A: I see myself graduated from college and with a good job around event planning, preferably on a larger scale, like for giant corporations doing national events.
Q: What show are you binge-watching right now?
A: Nothing at the moment.
Q: Favorite month? holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
A: My favorite month is December because I love the winter. Christmas is my favorite holiday however December 24th is the best day of the year mostly because I just enjoy that day with my family more.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
A: My family as a whole inspires me to be better. Every single person in my immediate family and my extended family inspires me in their own way by showing their work ethic and goals for their future.
Q: If you could go back over your entire school career, what is one thing you would do differently?
A: Appreciate the school years more, especially the beginning of high school. It all goes by so fast!
Q: Who or what do you miss the most right now?
A: At the moment, since we are in quarantine, I miss being able to see all of my friends and just being able to go out. I also miss not being able to have the normal senior year that I thought I was going to have. In the beginning there was a little hope of going back to school, but now its official, and we are not going back, It’s like whatever at this point. I’m still hoping that there can be something that can be done for senior prom and graduation! I’m definitely disappointed. It’s sad to miss out on the last part of the year, saying goodbye to everyone, and the teachers.
Q: What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?
A: I want to go and see some of my friends and my boyfriend and go to a restaurant in town.
