Hi! My name is Amanda. I love to spend time with my family and friends, and I frequently have a house full of people! I have a sign in my house that says “home is where my bunch of crazies are” and it could not be more accurate :-). I love honest, happy and positive people and truly am surrounded by the best community! I have been a nurse for 12 years and spent most of those years as an intensive care/emergency department/trauma nurse. Now, I have entered into the world of aesthetic nursing where I own Bergen Beauty Bar located in Mahwah.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My husband, Leon, is a critical care physician in Bergen County. We have 4 children. Payton is 15 years old, Mia is 6 years old, Noah is 3 years old and Jude is almost 2 years old!
Q: Please tell us about your current career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am registered nurse currently practicing in aesthetics. I love meeting new people and getting to know their stories. Enhancing the beauty they already possess is just icing on the cake!
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived in Mahwah my entire life!
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would travel to Italy. I love beautiful beaches and exploring the culture in different countries. Also, the wine and food!
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I don’t have the opportunity to watch much of it these days, but when I do, my guilty pleasure is reality TV! I also love real true crime shows.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Be kind to everyone you meet. Be kind to yourself. Do something good for someone who could never repay you.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Travel to Europe.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
The McDonalds in Boulder Run! I have so many good memories there as a child.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The diversity.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
God willing, healthy and enjoying my kids and husband in a slower pace of life (where toddlers aren’t turning my house upside down!).

I am a nerd. When I am interested in something, I will read about it until I feel I know EVERYTHING about it!

July is my favorite month. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I would have to choose 4 best single days on the calendar; my children’s birthdays.

My husband.
