I’ve lived in Mahwah my whole life, 44 years! I worked for MSNBC right after college, on the technical side (teleprompter & camera), the switched over to the production side as a producer/writer for the news. After my son was born I decided to stay home with my children. In between my 3 children I was a substitute in the Mahwah Schools and helped my father at his law firm once in a while.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I’m married to my husband , Eddie , for 18 years. We have three children – Anthony (16), Gianna (13), and Sienna (5).
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
Never left Mahwah, lived here for 44 years !
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I must say the most interesting person in our community is my dad. My dad was Honorable Judge Anthony Gianni. He was the Judge in Mahwah for over 40 years, before I was even born. When he first started his court was located above Company Fire Number 1, before moving over to the Town Hall. My dad passed away 4 years ago & leaves behind an amazing legacy in Mahwah. He was one of the longest (and youngest) running Judges in Bergen County. He also started a court for kids to learn about court and law. He was so well respected and loved by many and helped so many people throughout his life. As successful as he was, my dad’s biggest accomplishment was being an amazing father, grandfather and friend. I think one of the reasons I decided to stay in Mahwah was because of his love for our town. My mom, Dolores, also ran a theatre group called Small Town & Fancy Players, which was held at the Mahwah High School. Many amazing plays, including Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Annie. She gave scholarships to graduating seniors.
