A: I always loved kids growing up. My first few jobs were always in day care facilities, I worked at 3 different daycares in Ramsey, Suffern and Mahwah.  I went to school to be a medical assistant, and started working here at PediatriCare Associates.   I wanted to stay here and over time I just kinda moved up the ladder; I’ve been with PediatriCare for 15 years!  I started as medical assistant and now I’m the office Manager in the Mahwah office.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Mahwah, and what do you love there?

A: I like many restaurants in Mahwah for different items. I like Mahwah Bar & Grill for their wings, I like Mahwah Pizza & Pasta for their eggplant panini.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in Mahwah?

A: My whole life..so 35 years!

Q: What is your favorite movie OR what is the first movie you remember seeing in a theatre?

A: I’ve never been to the theater. EVER! I’m not really a theater person.  I’m the ‘put a movie on and I will fall asleep’ type of person!

Q: What current / former local business makes you the most nostalgic about Mahwah?

A: Janek’s Deli –  we grew up on that side of town. When we got little older and a little more reliable, our parents would let us ride our bike to Janek’s!  So we would ride our bikes there with a couple of friend in the neighborhood and that was fun!

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about Mahwah?

A: I like that we have the reservation right here and we have a lot of parks.  Also for me, since I grew up here, it’s like all of my friends are here, I’m very comfortable and I know where everything is.

Q: Choosing anyone alive and a non-relative with whom would you love to have lunch? Why and where would you have lunch?

A: I’m really into this book that I am reading right now, it is called ‘Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff’ by Richard Carlson, so I would like to meet with him, just because I’m really enjoying this book right now!  It is so well written and I actually read one chapter everyday.  I even bring it with me to work and tell everybody I work with about what I got out of it. Actually, Dr. Beanstock is the one who gave me this book, he gave it to the entire staff here. This book is doing a lot for me right now, like we are busy here at work and homelife is always busy and it is just centering me.  I would take him to lunch at Roxanne’s!

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 or 10 years?

A: Still in Mahwah, owning a home with my same 3 kids and dog.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?

A: I’m kind of an open book, so I can’t think of anything that other wouldn’t know about me.

Q: What 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?

A: Comfort, Security and Loving.

Q: What 3 adjectives would your boss or peers to describe you?

A: I would say patient, kind and hard working.

Q: If you had a full time staff member that was fully paid for, who would you choose? Chef, Housekeeper, Driver, Coach, Physical Fitness Trainer, or Nanny?

A: A Chef!

Q: If money was not an option and you could anything in the world world for a career, what would that be?

A: I really want to do something different for like 2 months and then I want to stop and change my career entirely and do something else!  I really want to try lots of different things because how do I know what I’m going to be best at, or what really makes me happy as a person?  I want to go from extreme to extreme, I want to work on wall street for 2 months, I want to be a farmer for 2 months.  I just wanna experience things and life!
